He was very professional and friendly
Unit did not exercise yesterday (Monday) at 3:00 because the date/time was inaccurate, and needed to be adjusted. I performed a hard reset and firmware update on the controller before fixing the date/time settings. After that, I set the exercise for today at 10:30 to make sure it ran, and it ran a full exercise. The unit will now stay on its weekly exercise schedule, and is fully operational.
Unit was getting consistent charger warnings, and hasn’t exercised since 7/28/26. Upon closer inspection, I found the positive battery terminal to be completely corroded to the point that there was no metal left. I replaced the positive battery terminal, and the battery, which was from 2021. The unit is now fully operational, and completed a load transfer test.
Didn’t wait long
Upon arrival, the unit was left open, and it was raining hard. The controller sustained damage, and needs to be replaced before proceeding with diagnostic.
Untis fully operational, and did transfer when power was lost on 7/28/26 after a car hit a pole. Power in the house was not on becuase the main panel breaker was tripped.
Excellent Service
Controller has been replaced, and a load test was completed. The unit is fully operational.
Upon arrival, unit was shutdown with a 1300 low oil pressure code. I tested the switch, and when I ran it, the switch would leak oil, so I replaced it. Also, I found that the battery had not been changed at the recent maintenance even though it was over 3 years old, so I changed it out. After replacing the oil pressure switch, I performed a load test to ensure proper operation. The unit ran but failed to transfer to standby, so I began further diagnosis. I found that wire 194 and 23 was only reading 1.6 VDC at the SACM, but when I disconnected 194, it read proper battery voltage. This led me to replace the ISACM, where I found that a lizard had shorted the circuit on the back, which also damaged the ICE cube relay, causing the unit to not transfer. We will need to come back to replace the ICE cube relay. Unit was left in the OFF position.
